Introduction

Kayak on Palau beach

I've returned from the adventure of a life time, kayaking and camping on the Rock Islands of Palau for a week by myself.

Prior to my trip I spent hours on the Internet trying to find information. I did not find much and what I found did not have the details that I wanted. Hence, the pages with everything that I have learned.

I'm a very inexperienced kayaker.

I also want to note that I am a woman in my mid-fifties. I am in good shape and walk a lot. I am not a good swimmer.

I am not a tour person and wanted to discover the islands by myself not in a large group.

I also want to note that the Rock Islands are really the attraction for tourists in Palau. Getting to Palau is not enough, you need to figure out how you are going to get to the Rock Islands, not once on a tour but for most of your trip.

There are no natural beaches on Koror (two of the resorts have constructed artificial ones).
